Bruins sign Ryder to multi-year contract

their forward line on Tuesday when the club signed free agent forward Michael
Ryder to a multi-year contract.
The 28-year-old Ryder played all four seasons of his NHL career with the
Montreal Canadiens, but will now wear the jersey of another Original Six
franchise.
In both of the last two seasons, Ryder scored 30 goals. He was named to the
All-Rookie squad in his first season of 2003-04 -- a campaign during which
Ryder posted 25 goals and 38 assists. Over the span of 314 regular-season
games with the Habs, Ryder totaled 99 goals -- 46 on the power play -- and 108
assists.
Ryder was originally drafted by Montreal in the eighth round in 1998.
